We have an outstanding Contract position for a Product Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join a leading Company located in the Vista, CA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $21.67

**US Citizenship is required.**

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. 
  • Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. 
  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. 
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
  • Performs non-routine tasks which may involve some use of judgment and initiative in the shipping and receiving of materials, supplies and equipment. 
  • Under general supervision, prepares record of goods shipped and received and bill of lading, posts weights and shipping charges and maintains shipping record files. 
  • May operate forklift and prepare goods for final shipment, under limited supervision. 
  • Receives some instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. 
  • Uses professional concepts to solve a variety of problems. 
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where limited judgment is required. 
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. 
  • Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules. 
  • Interacts daily with supervisors, peer groups, and internal and external customers. 
  • Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. 
  • May serve in a lead role and train others. 
  • Normally receives some instruction on routine work, general instruction on new assignments.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • High school education or equivalent and 3+ year of related experience.
  • Having some knowledge and experience, able to handle unusual occurring job events. 
  • Stockroom experience that includes receiving, put away, kitting, cycle counting and shipment of various materials. 
  • Good data entry skills are required to accurately complete daily transactions as required
  • Material Handling experience using various handling equipment (e.g: forklifts) to move material throughout Manufacturing locations. 
  • Stockroom and Warehouse experience, good math skill and interpersonal skills. 
  • Candidate must be able to work both independently and with a group in moving material to and from work cells.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Receiving and Shipping experience. 
  • Good understanding of Material Control and Movement processes and data entry skills. 
  • Familiar with use of material handling equipment including forklifts. 
  • Must have this experience and a solid job history. No job hoppers.
