We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for an HRIS Analyst to join a leading Company located in the Reston, VA surrounding area.
Reporting to the HRIS Senior Manager, the HRIS Analyst will be responsible for HRIS systems setup and maintenance, changes, testing and troubleshooting, process improvements, data integrity, systems security, and year-end support. The HRIS Analyst will aid in auditing changes within systems to ensure proper controls and assist in recommending and establishing new controls. Responsibilities further include management reporting and data feeds in conjunction with IT and external vendors, as well as assisting in assigned HRIS-related projects, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates with HR internal customers to analyze HRIS requirements, develop and implement various HRIS procedures, and prepare customized reports.
Helps in the design of custom ad hoc reports, resolves queries, ensures accuracy in same, prepares business documents and provides upgrades if required, monitors HRIS systems, and maintains the integrity of all data.
Assists in the designing and maintenance of codes and tables, prepares reports for HR systems and applications, analyzes systems to resolve any issues, and escalates more complex and large-scale issues to the Sr. Manager of HRIS and Analytics to handle and resolve.
Creates test scenarios and assists project team members in performing tests to ensure all processes work according to predetermined goals.
Assists in the testing and implementing of file feeds and interfaces for any add-on technology to our HRIS system, as needed.
Supports the execution and/or monitoring of all scheduled import/export interfaces and files to third-party vendors.
Assists in the execution of internal processes and performs audits in order to ensure the integrity of all systems andcollaborate with functional users to develop all business processes for various human resources systems and provide support to all associated activities.
Assists in auditing and reviewing changes within HRIS systems to ensure proper controls and separation of duties and assist in establishing new controls, as needed.
Aids in coordinating system and security administrator for multiple HRIS/payroll-related systems, as needed.
Works with developing and conducting a robust training program, end-user support and assistance to HRIS users.
Works with external vendor UltiPro and other service providers to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely exchange of information.
Manages the HRIS Mailbox, this includes responding to questions raised by Field and Corporate HR.
Runs queries/reports; analyzes data, identifies trends, and prepares reports and presentations with rationale and conclusions.
Assists with all non-union HRIS data entry, as needed.
Provides support to the HR team for projects and tasks, as required.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelors degree (B.S.) or equivalent required.
Minimum three to five years of experience within the HRIS and project arenas to include a proven ability to improve internal processes, and upgrade current technologies.
Knowledge of HRIS, management reporting, and payroll processes within an UltiPro environment is required.
Desired Qualifications:
PHR is a plus.
PMP is a plus.
Must have demonstrated expertise in UltiPro HRIS, payroll, and business processes with the ability to take ownership of overall HRIS systems and processes.
Reporting and business intelligence (Cognos 8) experience including systems setup and organization as well as ongoing reporting to meet business needs.
General overall knowledge and experience within Human Resources (e.g. compensation and benefits) with demonstrated ability to apply technical solutions to solve business problems in an effective manner, preferred.
Strong organizational skills, project management experience, time management skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to maintain confidential information, and ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
Knowledge of information technology and compensation best practices
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels and operation units of the organization.
Attention to detail and ability to provide fast turnaround when needed in-depth knowledge of UltiPro Backoffice and .Net versions.
Strong knowledge of Cognos 8/Business Intelligence report writing (i. e. report studio, query studio, dashboards, event studio, bursting).
Working knowledge of both United States and Canadian HR practices, benefits, and retirement programs, is preferred.
Excellent communication skills - correspondence to internal and external customers.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals possessing varying degrees of technical and functional knowledge.
Proven teamwork withthe ability to work with team members across all corporate functions.
Client Service oriented and focused.
JIRA/SNOW or a Ticketing system is highly desirable.
