We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Director of Sales to join a leading Company located in the Manassas, VA surrounding area.
As the Director of Sales, you will be a critical member of the executive leadership team with responsibility for sales setting strategy, obtaining overall sales revenue and growth goals. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will manage the sales team with 7 direct reports with current revenue of approximately $30 million with 300+ customers. With its headquarters in Manassas, Virginia, we are a commercial HVAC and plumbing company specializing in maintenance, repair services, and retrofit replacements across several industry segments. Limited travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Directs and develops sales strategy, operational plans, tactics, and processes that will drive revenue growth and accomplish financial objectives.
- Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations.
- Oversees goal setting to develop targets for departmental levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance.
- Creates and implements capabilities to analyze the business environment, identify and understand competitors, and retain and expand the customer base.
- Uses market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products.
- Builds effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and development programs.
- May personally participate in or negotiate strategic or high-value sales.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Minimum 15 years of Sales experience.
- Minimum 5 years in Sales Leadership.
- Successful experience managing and leading a sales team to achieve company objectives.
- Experience developing and implementing a formal sales process utilizing key process indicators (KPI) and other measurement methods.
- Experience with building and developing an effective sales team.
- Skilled relationship builder with examples of deep relationships with executive leadership at key accounts.
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated strategic leadership working on an executive leadership team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
- Prior experience in HVAC and plumbing services is a plus but not required.
