We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join a leading Company located in the\ Richmond, VA  surrounding area.

Seeking a Payroll Administrator to oversee the organization's biweekly and monthly payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with the government regulations.  High-volume payroll experience is required for this role 

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions including managing commission calculation platform and corresponding adjustments.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • College Degree and/or related payroll experience.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll processing in ADP.
  • Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Extremely well-organized, detail oriented and accurate; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with employees and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Professional demeanor.
