We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join a leading Company located in the\ Richmond, VA surrounding area.
Seeking a Payroll Administrator to oversee the organization's biweekly and monthly payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with the government regulations. High-volume payroll experience is required for this role
Job Responsibilities:
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions including managing commission calculation platform and corresponding adjustments.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Collaborates with Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
College Degree and/or related payroll experience.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll processing in ADP.
Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Extremely well-organized, detail oriented and accurate; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills to interact with employees and management.
