Quality Control Supervisor Sterling, VA Posted: 6/16/2025
We have an outstanding Contract position for a Quality Control Supervisor to join a leading Company located in the Sterling, VA surrounding area.
The Quality Control Supervisor Organizes and coordinates work activities around the implementation of quality and food safety programs and standards.
Responsibilities :
Recommends new quality policies and procedures as necessary to ensure high-quality products, processes, and services. Communicates programs and standards to QC Techs and other plant employees. Oversees Quality Control Technicians' training and supervision. Investigates non-conformity issues, take corrective actions, and follow up to ensure the efficiency of the actions taken. Provides training to operations, maintenance, and receiving staff as needed. Maintains good communication and working relationships with the quality team and operations and USDA on staff personnel. Ensures that all USDA regulations are followed and that our and customers' quality programs meet and/or exceed customer requirements. Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in food safety, regulation, and/or quality with food products in a food-manufacturing environment. Knowledge of food safety principles and food processing. Possess a basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation in a food production facility. Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations; effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously. Prior experience dealing with USDA, FDA, and GMP preferred.
