We have an outstanding Contract position for a Quality Control Technician to join a leading Company located in the Sterling, VA surrounding area.

The Quality Control Technician I is responsible for ensuring products meet the company's food safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts and documents quality control inspections/controls.
  • Conducts and documents employee inspections for personal hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Collects samples for laboratory or sensory testing.
  • Performs equipment calibration as established by QA procedures.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting non-conformity to the QA Manager or QA Supervisor.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and performance.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete our Food Manager Certificate, HACCP training, and sous vide training.
  • Work experience in either a restaurant, food industry, or sanitation company is a plus.
  • Exposure to sous-vide food industry production audits, good manufacturing practices, and other food safety standards is a plus.
