We have an outstanding Contract position for a Project Manager to join a leading Company located in the Reston, VA surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Payroll. 
  • The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the project on time, within budget and in alignment with business objectives. 
  • The PM will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors. 
  • Lead and manage all phases of the payroll implementation project, from initiation to closure.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into project objectives.
  • Oversee system testing, data migration, user acceptance testing and training activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system implementation problems and overall system performance.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure successful system integration with timekeeping and benefits systems and vendors.
  • Write and prepare system user documentation, instructional guides, reference materials and system plans and manuals.
  • Develop post-implementation support plans and conduct project closeout activities, including lessons learned.

Basic Hiring Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical project management experience and strong commitment to meeting deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Change management experience.
  • Experience of planning and executing a business system implementation, preferably with Workday.
