We have an outstanding Contract position for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in the Louisa, VA surrounding area.
We are currently seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to support a variety of facility and equipment maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of electro-mechanical experience, basic facility maintenance skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment, including sewing machines and industrial machinery. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, including sewing machines
Basic facility upkeep including fixing toilets, replacing light fixtures, patching/painting walls, and general cleaning
Interpret and utilize service manuals, circuit diagrams, and maintenance instructions
Use precision measuring tools and operate tool room machines and related equipment
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (preferred)
Prioritize work orders and manage time efficiently to minimize equipment downtime
Support safety and compliance initiatives across all facility operations
Basic Hiring Criteria
Prior experience maintaining or repairing sewing machines is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of digital electronics and electro-mechanical systems
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order tracking (preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift, bend, and work in physically demanding environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
