We have an outstanding Contract position for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in the Louisa, VA surrounding area.

We are currently seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to support a variety of facility and equipment maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of electro-mechanical experience, basic facility maintenance skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment, including sewing machines and industrial machinery. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, including sewing machines
  • Basic facility upkeep including fixing toilets, replacing light fixtures, patching/painting walls, and general cleaning
  • Interpret and utilize service manuals, circuit diagrams, and maintenance instructions
  • Use precision measuring tools and operate tool room machines and related equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (preferred)
  • Prioritize work orders and manage time efficiently to minimize equipment downtime
  • Support safety and compliance initiatives across all facility operations

Basic Hiring Criteria
  • Prior experience maintaining or repairing sewing machines is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of digital electronics and electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order tracking (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, and work in physically demanding environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
