We have an outstanding Contract position for a Senior Network Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Annapolis, MD surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $35-40/hr
Job Responsibilities:
Will be dedicated to the contract for the base period and option years.
Be available onsite or virtually (at SBEs discretion) as needed to provide custom instruction and consulting, as requested by SBE during the term of the contract.
Manage, plan, implement, and integrate the voting system's proposed network topology with SBE's election infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting, operations and maintenance (O&M), solution implementation, formal hardware upgrades, firmware evaluations, and technical support.
Assist with designing the network topology and developing best practices and security protocols.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
University degree or certification in Computer Science or a related subject.
Eight (8) years of experience designing and implementing complex data communications or telecommunications networks;
Working knowledge of local area network (LAN) and wireless local area network (WLAN) topologies.
Working knowledge of networking and security protocols.
Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analysis tools.
Specialized Experience: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or higher (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications highly valued).
