We have an outstanding Contract position for an FAA Assembly Mechanic to join a leading Company located in the Kingman, AZ surrounding area.
We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Mechanical Technician within an FAA-regulated environment. This role involves the construction, maintenance, testing, and repair of mechanical equipment and components, with a focus on aircraft wheel and brake systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform teardown, inspection, repair, and overhaul of aircraft wheels and brakes. Identify worn or defective parts and determine appropriate replacements.
Operate hand tools and powered industrial equipment safely and effectively.
Follow detailed work instructions and established procedures to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Collaborate with team members and report to a supervisor or manager.
Work in the wheel line or brake line department.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
0-2 years of experience in a mechanical or related field.
Mechanical aptitude is essential; prior experience in automotive repair or similar industries is a plus.
Experience using hand tools is required.
Military mechanical experience is highly valued.
Apprenticeship or formal training in a mechanical specialty is a plus.
This is a general mechanical position; prior aircraft experience is not required.
Must demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and adhere to safety and quality standards.
