We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for an Audit and Collections Analyst to join a leading Company located in the Rockville, MD surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $25 - $28
The Audit & Collections Analyst will ensure that Audit & Collections activities are completed quickly and efficiently per the trust documents for the plans. Most of the issues handled are confidential and require comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, practices, procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and mail audit announcement letters; update database and accounting records for tracking
- Gather and provide necessary documents for auditors to complete the audit; monitor the status of any incomplete audits that have been assigned
- Process completed audits in the database and notify employers of results and any delinquent contributions due
- Review auditor's invoices for accuracy
- Process payments received for audits and delinquencies.
- Print and mail delinquency letters
- Work with employers responding to delinquency letters and assist in resolving any outstanding issues
- Provide administrative support to assist our attorneys with their collection efforts
- Ensure that pension overpayments get submitted for payment and track to status
- Review progress reports to help identify contractors who are delinquent in filing their Monthly Payroll Reports and address these accounts accordingly
- Act as Fund representative when contacting outside parties including attorneys, funds administrators, and other collection professionals to negotiate for payments and services
- Provide follow-up on employer responses, negotiate terms & create repayment agreements
- Refer delinquencies to attorneys based on established guidelines
- Track all accounts that are being handled by legal counsel and update status accordingly
- Make recommendations to the Senior Audit & Collections Analyst on any employer overpayments identified
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- 3+ years of experience in a related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Taft-Hartley Trust Fund or prior auditing experience is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to manage complex issues while maintaining a flexible, positive, and cooperative demeanor
- Responds promptly to operations leaders and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making
- Troubleshoots assigned issues, gathers evidence and investigates all relevant information with participants, vendors, and internal departments to resolve the problem in a cooperative and collaborative manner
