We have an outstanding Contract position for a Engineering Technician to join a leading Company located in the Palm Bay, FL.
**US Citizenship is required.**
 **Candidate must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.**

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. 
  • Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. 
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. 
  • May work with complex machines or computer systems. 
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Fully proficient in supporting individual contributors.
  • Works under limited supervision. 
  • May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise.
  • Assignments are moderately difficult, requiring some judgment.
  • Works under limited supervision. 
  • Less detailed instructions are provided and minimal peer review is required.
  • Communicates with contacts, typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. 
  • May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.
  • Work may be structured within identified boundaries and procedures. 
  • Follows established processes to complete tasks. 
  • Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Resolves most issues.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area, which has a moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. 
  • Work is of moderate scope, typically on larger, task-related activities.
  • Support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturing
  • Individual contributor responsibilities with limited supervision 
  • Following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes.
  • Navigating and working to paperless work instructions (MES)
  • Lead complex tasks when needed. Contribute to pre task briefings
  • Flexibility to work overtime/nights/weekends and alternate shifts
  • Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/dmate operations
  • Mechanical assembly and test of space hardware, including ESD sensitive hardware.
  • System-level hardware integration.
  • Rigging/overhead crane and forklift operation, 
  • Preparation for and conducting system-level hardware testing (deployments, environment testing, etc.).
  • Performing system-level alignments to meet system requirements
  • Field support for launch vehicle integration
  • Move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another.
  • Repetitive movements during specified durations. 
  • Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. 
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. 

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using torque driverpower supply.
  • Small hand tools.
  • Mixing and applying adhesives.
