We have an outstanding Contract position for an HR Business Partner to join a leading Company located in the Columbia, MD surrounding area.

Salary: 80k -95K

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Work with assigned client groups in support of selecting, aligning, and growing top talent.
  • Responsible for wide range of HR including but not limited to the recruitment, performance, organizational development and talent strategy, lifecycle events, separations, and realignment.
  • Connect regularly with business function leaders to understand current state of the workforce and identify future needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide information and general support to employees and managers.
  • Initiate exploratory meetings for new positions, including replacements/backfills and new roles.
  • Create and revise position descriptions for competitive market pricing.
  • Drive the recruitment efforts with support of the Recruiter.
  • Interview candidates and lead debriefs.
  • Coordinate new hire offer packages with the Recruiter.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding.
  • Promptly investigate complaints/issues and make recommendations resolution.
  • Partner with managers on development strategies for employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to make recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Coach managers and employees on compensation philosophy and provide updates to various aspects of the performance and compensation
  • Initiate documentation for changes to employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for aspects of employment.
  • Administer human resources policies, procedures, and programs, as needed.
  • Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience specializing in employee relations.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Professional HR Cert.
