We are seeking an experienced and well-rounded Tax Manager to lead a team of skilled tax professionals and deliver high-quality service to a diverse client base. Job Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise a team of 3-4 tax accountants, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for small businesses, individuals, nonprofits, and benefit plans.
Conduct tax planning and consulting engagements for clients to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance.
Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, ensuring timely implementation of changes.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and clear communication.
Assist in managing workflow and deadlines, especially during peak tax seasons.
Utilize tax software and accounting systems to ensure accurate and efficient work processes.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, or 3+ years in a tax management role.
Experience with a wide range of client types, including small businesses, individuals, nonprofits, and benefit plans.
Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx, Accounting CS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
