We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Finance Specialist to join our corporate finance team in Los Angeles, supporting a leading company in the Health & Beauty retail industry. This role plays a critical part in driving financial planning, optimizing capital structure, and supporting executive decision-making through in-depth analysis and reporting. A deep understanding of the retail sector, especially in consumer-driven categories like skincare, cosmetics, and wellness, is essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Execute all cash management activities, including the effective utilization of cash resources through the control of working capital, investment of surplus cash, and the efficient use of banking facilities
- Review treasury operations daily to ensure that corporate funds are flowing in a manner consistent with maximizing corporate value and minimizing costs
- Develop and drive tools and analysis to forecast the company's cash flows
- Review/oversee month-end closing activities and create financial reports
- Develop and oversee the company's overall funding and liquidity strategy, including the review, evaluation, and implementation of optimal debt structures to support financial objectives
- Identify financial risks and develop/execute strategies to mitigate risks
- Develop new commercial bank/other creditor relationships to ensure the company's long-term access to capital markets
- Provide analysis and recommendations designed to optimize the corporate cost of capital
- Propose optimized investment structures for new CAPEX plans of the company
- Ensure financial resources are used in the most effective way possible by analyzing the free cash flows of the company
- Draft and present clear, understandable, and unambiguous proposals and recommendations for executive management, which will be used in financial decision-making and strategy formation for financial affairs
- Support financial analyses and ad hoc projects, including delivering presentations to different stakeholders and HQ Korea
- Perform other corporate finance-related duties as assigned
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Math, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in a corporate finance capacity or in an accountancy capacity within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- Has proven and successful experience in strategy consulting and advisory, leading a business to enhanced financial performance
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Proficient in the use of SAP or similar financial software
- Bilingual required (English: Professional Level / Korean: Conversational Level)
