We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Security Control Assessor to join a leading Company located in the Honolulu, HI surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $72.11 - $76.92
**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.**
Job Responsibilities:
Develop the overall RMF assessment Strategy.
Approve Security Assessment Plans (SAPs).
Perform final review/sign off of SAR, RAR, and POA&M artifacts before submission.
Interpret ambiguous compliance requirements and advise on policy exceptions.
Lead briefings (in-briefs, out-briefs, RAWG updates).
Coach senior SCA and program teams, ensuring consistent methodology.
Provide authoritative risk recommendations to the AO.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience within a senior-level security environment, supporting DoD or joint commands.
At start date, must possess one or more of the following certifications in ACTIVE status:
SecurityX - Formerly known as CASP
CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional (or Associate)
GSLC – GIAC Security Leadership certification
Advanced experience with:
Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
Risk Management Framework (RMF).
NIST guidelines.
Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), outstanding customer service, team building, and consensus-building abilities.
Self-motivated with ability to stay focused, organized, and plan work independently or collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail, accuracy, and consistent follow-through.
Proven ability to:
Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling situational occurrences.
Provide technical support across secure and non-secure networks.
Work with senior leaders in a Joint Operations Center, demonstrating polished technical skills and a professional mindset.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in related discipline from an accredited institution.
Possess any of the following certifications in ACTIVE status:
CAP - Certified Authorization Professional.
GIAC – Global Information Assurance Certification.
CISM – Certified Information Security Manager.
12+ years of experience within a senior-level security environment, supporting DoD or joint commands.
Experience working in SOC, interfacing with General Officers and other senior leadership.
Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
