We have an outstanding Contract position for a Mech Assembler to join a leading Company located in the Huntsville, AL surrounding area.
**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**
Responsibilities:
Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
Working knowledge and use of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron).
Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
Candidates must have experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop a strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly.
Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in the signal and connectivity issues.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
High School diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years (or more) of experience with cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
Working knowledge of specialized tools and equipment used during the cable assembly process.
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Current certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 with Space addendum.
