We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a CNC Machinist Operator to join a leading Company located in the Thousand Oaks, CA surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $29 - $33
Responsibilities:
Must set up, run, and inspect parts to drawing specification using CNC Lathe or CNC Mill, and/or CNC mill turn.
Required to perform first article inspections and correct any discrepancies between part measurements and print requirements.
Should be adept in all aspects of machining and assist other machinists as needed.
Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques.
Utilizes tools and measuring instruments, including, but not limited to: saw, shear, grinder, calipers, micrometer, calculator, and various other hand tools.
Read blueprints and inspect completed parts and related documentation.
Retrieve appropriate tools from the tool crib to complete the job.
Refer to reference books or confer with engineers to resolve questions/issues.
Maintains equipment as necessary.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Strong communication and reading skills.
Minimum 5 years of experience to set up and operate a CNC Lathe or CNC Mill.
Ability to read blueprints, machine, and inspect completed parts and related documentation.
Must have math skills to be able to set up the machine.
Ability to lift/carry/pull/push up to 20lbs.
