We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a leading Company located in the South Burlington, VT surrounding area.
Salary: $41,600 to $62,400/yr
As one of the Senior Fabricators in the Sheet Metal department, you are responsible for all aspects of sheet metal fabrication and the manufacturing of enclosures and panels for our product lines from raw materials. You're great at MIG/TIG welding and using a variety of fabrication equipment and you know how to read and use engineering prints.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine fabrication methods and material requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape raw materials such as metal sheets, bars, or pipes to specified dimensions using hand tools and precision equipment such as punching machines, shears, and bending machines.
- Use welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.) and other joining methods to assemble fabricated parts into finished products.
- Safely set up, operate, and maintain fabrication machinery and tools, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
- Inspect finished components for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards.
- Work closely with team members, engineers, and production supervisors to optimize workflow and improve production processes.
- Put safety first, all day, every day.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training or certification in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills in using cutting tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication machinery.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and maintain high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and practices, with a proven track record of adhering to safety guidelines.
- Experience with Metal Fabrication preferred.
