We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Project Manager. This position is 100% remote.

Salary: $100k - $120k

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Provides overall direction and management of complex projects for key clients. 
  • Ensures completion of projects on time and within budget.
  • Serve as primary contact to customers on projects with our joist and deck products as well as structural steel on certain projects.
  • Establish and maintain schedules with regard to both drawings and delivery. 
  • Work with the customer to ensure that the internal schedule is consistent with the job schedule and manage schedule changes both internally and externally.
  • Work closely with sales and accounting to establish and manage a schedule of values for progress billing, in accordance with AIA guidelines.
  • Coordinate with structural steel subcontractors where we have the prime structural steel supply contract.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Identify, prepare, and issue change orders for material and labor above and beyond the original contract.
  • Review purchase orders and specifications on new jobs to ensure the work scope is consistent with the bid.
  • Minimize job site and schedule problems wherever possible and minimize cost impact of potential back charges.
  • Work with engineering to create Requests for Information (RFIs) and facilitate quick answers from our clients.
  • Interpret and explain proposals to customers, including exclusions and qualifications.
  • Communicate and coordinate with engineering, production, and other internal customers to facilitate successful projects.
  • Utilize internal systems to manage projects and communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and answer questions from the jobsite, including from the steel erector and the General Contractor.
  • Lead/attend meetings in the absence of PM Manager. 
  • Provide support for other PMs on the team and across the enterprise.
  • Maintains a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
  • Manages direct reports through coaching and supporting their training, development, and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of project management and/or sales experience in the non-residential construction industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of building construction, combined with steel design concepts presented on architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Office Suite with experience using a CRM platform.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, customer service, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to jobsites as required.
