We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading Company located in the Gordonsville, TN surrounding area.
The Maintenance Group Leader supports the management of the Maintenance team by coordinating daily activities, monitoring task progress, and providing hands-on assistance as needed. This role is responsible for training apprentices, overseeing special projects, and ensuring equipment reliability in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with press/stamping machines, robotic welders, and other automated systems, and will demonstrate strong leadership, technical, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Assign daily work tasks and responsibilities to maintenance team members
Plan and monitor the progress of special maintenance and equipment upgrade projects
Oversee ongoing maintenance programs, including routine maintenance, seasonal preparations, renovation projects, and scheduled upgrades
Maintain accurate departmental records, logs, and documentation
Create and adhere to an approved maintenance budget
Collaborate with third-party contractors and technicians as needed
Requisition tools, parts, and supplies necessary for maintenance operations
Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting and completing maintenance tasks
Train interns, apprentices, and technicians (approximately 15% of the role)
Collaborate with Production Team Managers to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance
Coordinate overtime and manpower planning to meet production demands
Advise management on performance issues and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for equipment failures
Basic Hiring Criteria:
High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years' experience in a related field, orAssociate's Degree in a related discipline and 3+ years' experience in related field, or Bachelor's Degree in related discipline and 1+ years' experience in related field
Experience in automotive manufacturing preferred
Hands-on experience with press/stamping machines and robotic welding systems required
Familiarity with integrated computer programs and maintenance management systems
Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams
