We have an outstanding Contract position for a Production Assembler to join a leading Company located in the Oro Valley , AZ surrounding area.
The Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.
Pay Rate: $18
1st Shift Monday-Friday occasional evening/weekend overtime. 5am to 8am start time
Responsibilities :
Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard Cut, prepare, and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, apply conformal coat, marking , and adhesive bonding Follow written and verbal instructions Complete work according to instructions, specifications, and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures Conduct inspections of one's own and/or other associates' work to ensure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawings Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, adhering to 6S standards Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures Additional job duties and tasks as needed Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / Supervisor
Basic Hiring Criteria :
High School Diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience Minimum 2 years of prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment, or completed OJT training for at least 5 products
Desired Qualifications :
Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions Effective oral and written communication Must be able to work all shifts and be available for overtime and weekends as needed Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned Use hand tools, power tools, and an electric soldering gun Lift and Carry up to 30lbs Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures Skilled at simple welding tasks, brazing, or soldering Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedures Experience with MS Office Suite Good manual dexterity is required to work with small parts
