We have an Excellent Contract to Hire position for an Accountant to join a leading Company located in Richmond, VA.

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Responsibilities include receiving and coding invoices, processing invoices for payment, collecting rent, billing for CAM, reviewing and administering leases, etc.
  • We have a property manager who deals with most of the tenants, but candidate will take care of the accounting piece. Occasionally, will work with contractors for a tenant improvement and oversee the work.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements for board meetings.
  • Review books, make journal entries, and reconcile accounts before sending books to accountants to prepare tax returns.
  • We have many investments that you will assist with capital calls, etc.
  • Administer charitable foundations.
  • Go to bank, post office and other locations as needed and there is mileage reimbursement.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • A degree is not required but preferred, and if someone is a Property Accountant, that is a plus.
  • Confidentiality is imperative as dealing with confidential information.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Must know QuickBooks Desktop, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Looking for someone with stability, matureprofessional, strong communication skills, able to work independently, and multitask as every day is something different.
