We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Louisville, KY surrounding area.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead geotechnical investigations, analyze subsurface conditions, and design foundation and soil-related solutions to support safe and efficient construction. You will contribute to diverse projects including commercial, infrastructure, municipal, and federal developments, providing technical expertise from concept through construction.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, field testing, and subsurface explorations.
  • Analyze geotechnical data to evaluate site suitability, foundation conditions, and project risk.
  • Design foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and other geotechnical systems.
  • Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, recommendations, and technical documentation for clients and project teams.
  • Perform construction materials testing and field inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Utilize geotechnical software (e.g., AutoCAD, GeoStudio, Settle3, GRLWEAP) for modeling and analysis.
  • Monitor construction sites, address field issues, and ensure adherence to safety and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project design.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and team resources as required.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, subsurface investigation, or construction materials testing.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of project management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, GeoStudio, Settle3, GRLWEAP, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, retaining structures, and geotechnical principles.
  • Experience with stormwater management, hydraulics, or water treatment systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with surveying, drafting, and site layout techniques is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
