We have an outstanding Contract position for a Systems Engineer Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Huntsville, AL surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required.**

 **Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.**

Seeking motivated candidates for a Systems Engineering Specialist. Candidates for this position plan and conduct technical Systems Engineering tasks on projects or major phases of significant project assignments. Executes Systems Engineering techniques, including Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies, in the management of requirements, verification and risk for developing solid rocket propulsion systems. Candidates will be able to independently solve problems in the systems engineering job area. Candidates provide and coordinate communications with team and occasionally engineering leadership or customer personnel on technical matters.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or appropriate discipline/science (Mechanical/Aerospace) and at least 4 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of solid rocket motor fundamentals.
• Requires the ability to plan, coordinate, and implement systems engineering processes to ensure success of rocket system design development.
• Candidates at this level should have directly related industry experience in Systems Engineering disciplines (product development cycle, requirements management, risk management, integration) for aerospace/rocket propulsion system design development.
• Experience applying advanced Systems Engineering techniques, including Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies, in the management of requirements and risk for developing rocket propulsion systems.
• Experience with IBM Rational DOORS requirements management software.
• Experience in risk and opportunity management.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in the development of contract proposals, basis of estimates, and other MBSE artifacts to support the capture of new business. 
• Demonstrated experience in developing MBSE Architectures for DoD and Commercial customers.
• Experience with DoD ground and air-launched systems preferred. 
• Demonstrated experience with the development and application of requirements verification architectures within a Cameo modeling environment.
• Applies knowledge of MBSE languages (UML, SysML, and UPDM) and frameworks.
• Advanced degree preferred.
