We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Dallas, TX or Houston, TX surrounding area.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive, practical experience in electrical power design for large infrastructure projects. The selected candidate shall be an analytical professional specializing in medium and low voltage switchgear design; power system planning, operation, and control; and distributed energy systems engineering and integration. We desire a collaborative communicator who is focused on building relationships and promoting synergy across business lines. The selected candidate will manage and be involved in all phases of projects from pre-proposal involvement to design, production, and construction. The position also requires conducting meetings with clients and mentoring junior engineers and designers on the team.
Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation of detailed calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
Manage the development of procurement documents, including drawings and specifications for design and construction phases
Prepare and evaluate proposals, technical reports, and cost estimates
Conduct detailed engineering analyses required for procurement and construction purposes
Conduct meetings and build relationships with the client to review project details and requirements
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineering and technical professionals
Manage overall design of assigned power systems projects, including engine generators, paralleling switchgear, protective relaying, medium and low voltage electrical distribution equipment, lighting systems, and associated electrical schemes and controls
Conduct all required electrical specification sections
Mentor junior engineers and designers, provide design direction, and constructive feedback
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Professional Engineering license in Texas
Minimum 5 to 10 years of related engineering experience desired, ideally in the consulting field, or working with a full-service Architecture/Engineering Firm (A/E) or Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) firm
Experience in water and wastewater treatment processes is a plus
