We have an outstanding Contract position for an FAA Assembly & Test Technician to join a leading Company located in the Rocky Mount, NC surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform standard testing processes on various equipment; record and analyze results.
Use precision tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment for assembly, inspections, calibration, and testing of hydro-mechanical fuel controls.
Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Work from electronic instructions, engineering and quality procedures, blueprints, and specifications.
Inspect parts and products for quality; report defects and initiate corrective actions.
Maintain accurate documentation and records.
Keep work areas organized per Visual Management and 5S standards.
Participate in daily Tier meetings, continuous improvement, and problem-solving activities.
Ability to lift over 30 lbs and work in environments with machine, chemical, or physical risks.
Must be able to work overtime, including weekends.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow detailed assembly/test instructions and interpret blueprints.
Skilled in using precision measuring devices (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, etc.).
Proficient with hand tools.
Intermediate math skills.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation).
Mechanical and technical experience required.
Computer skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Desired Qualifications:
2-3 years in an assembly/test manufacturing environment.
North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold).
Six Sigma training or certification.
Associate's degree.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience in aerospace production environments.
Familiarity with 5S principles and continuous improvement activities.
