We have an outstanding career for opportunity for a Low Voltage Technician to join a leading Company located in the Kansas City, KS or Houston, TX surrounding area.
As a Technology and Security Designer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the implementation of low voltage and security systems in construction projects. Your expertise in system design and project management will be instrumental in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable design solutions that meet project requirements and adhere to industry standards.
JobResponsibilities:
Develop detailed Revit and CAD drawings relating to telecom and security systems, ensuring designs comply with industry standards and client specifications.
Coordinate with various trades to ensure seamless integration of technology and security systems.
Select and specify appropriate equipment, components, and materials, considering project requirements, standards, and budget constraints.
Oversee the design, construction, deployment, and closeout of data center technology projects.
Serve as the primary representative for telecom and security concerns to clients.
Address client queries and provide regular project updates.
Manage relationships with vendors, including project bidding and pricing review
Conduct assessments to ensure vendor compliance with project requirements.
Build and manage MSFT Project MPP schedule to track construction activities relating to technology and security.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or significant design experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage design within the construction industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Strong understanding of low voltage and security system design principles, codes, and standards, with the ability to develop innovative and efficient solutions.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to integrate low voltage systems into building designs successfully.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify design challenges, propose effective solutions, and make informed engineering decisions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to project stakeholders and collaborate with diverse teams.
Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with industry advancements and electrical engineering best practices.
Willingness to conduct site visits as and when necessary.
