We have an outstanding Contract position for a Material Handler to join a leading Company located in the Greenville, SC surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Loads, unloads, collects, and properly conveys Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste containers (Drums, ICB Totes, Bins, Buckets) materials from the production and hangar areas to the site's waste consolidation location. 
• Collects Scrap metals, Wood/Pallet/Plastic recyclables materials around the facility to the recycling collection areas. 
• Performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving consolidation of waste materials. 
• Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information. 
• Loads and unloads materials (waste/recyclables/scrap) onto or from pallets and waste compactors machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand. 
• Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, pallet jack, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of hoists or other lifting devices. 
• Uses a forklift, delivery truck with lift gate to load 55-gallon drums, waste and recyclable materials. 

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Handling Hazardous Materials and Wastes, RCRA experience.
• Currently hold or has held forklift certificate.
• Able to be standing 8 hours/day, manual labor in a medium to heavy work environment.
• Safety shoes required.
