We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Accounting Executive Director to join a leading Company located in the Richmond, VA surrounding area.
The position will report directly to the Executive Director and will supervise four employees.
Responsibilities:
Administrative
Lead staff and manage all office operations (staff, building, communications, website, social media sites, equipment, grounds, contractors, tenants, maintenance, office supplies)
Supervise and evaluate all staff
Contact for the HR Consultant, Attorney, 3rd Party Contractors, Tenants
Maintain/update leave records/employee handbook/storage of minutes & documents, etc.
Ensure compliance with controls/employee handbook/guidelines/CE requirements
Review/approve staff/Board reimbursement vouchers
Participate in annual budget preparation
Receive input from the Controller and the Director of Operations on lease renewals, contractor agreements, and building maintenance
Oversee the organizational marketing processes
Monitor/ensure compliance with the strategic organizational plans
Exhibit at industry conferences to market the organization and its services/conferences
Serve as the Liaison between the Board of Directors and our Corporate Attorney, Bank Representatives, HR Consultant, and Contractors
Board of Directors
Serve as the Liaison between staff, members, the public, and the Board
Call to meetings, manage and attend in person and virtual Board and Annual member meetings
Prepare and give administrative reports (staff, building, exhibits, conferences, etc)
Record, distribute, and maintain organizational Board minutes
Manage/arrange travel for Board members
Manage/arrange for the annual delivery of the Hume Lecture and Award
Conference Planning
Travel with and support all conferences (some in person; some virtual)
Assist with event conference planning
Review course fees based on proposed budgets
Assist with research, visits, and negotiation via a 3rd party planner, venue contracts
Assist with brochure development
Serve as backup to the Director of Operations
Accounting
Assist where needed with invoicing, payables, and receivables
Assist with invoice pulls and filing
Sign and process all checks and ACHs - separation of duties
Participate in annual budget preparation
Review bank statements
Make bank deposits

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; master's degree in the business field/MBA, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), or Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation is preferred
