We have an Excellent career opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join a leading Company located in San Diego, CA.
Salary: $105,000 to $120,000
We're growing and looking for a Sales Engineer or Sales Manager who can build long term global OEM relationships and help customers solve complex technical challenges in robotics, drones, autonomous systems, and advanced imaging.
If you love translating engineering needs into real-world solutions-and want to work closely with engineering and manufacturing-this could be a great fit.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage OEM customer relationships from first conversation through production
- Prospect and qualify new accounts across robotics, drone, imaging, and automotive automation markets
- Translate technical requirements into viable optical/camera solutions in partnership with engineering
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and oversee order flow
- Communicate project status, timelines, and technical details to customers
- Represent the company at key industry events (SPIE, Automate, VISION)
- Build long-term, solution-focused partnerships-not transactional sales
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- STEM degree preferred (Engineering, Physics, Optics, Robotics, etc.)
- -Industry experience in imaging, optics, robotics, or cameras can substitute
- 1-2+ years of experience in a technical, engineering, or customer-facing role
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through complex challenges
- Excellent communicator able to simplify technical concepts
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable owning your workflow
- Social, outgoing, and globally minded
- Must be onsite Monday-Friday
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with optics, imaging, robotics, drones, or related technologies
- Background in B2B solution sales or OEM account management
- Familiarity working alongside engineering/manufacturing teams
