We have an outstanding Contract position for a Plumber to join a leading Company located in the Ft. Hood, TX surrounding area.

Primarily focused on industrial-scale manufacturing environments, data center cooling systems, or commercial HVAC mechanical services. These roles are frequently associated with industrial manufacturing facilities (e.g., Nisku, AB) or specialized unionized field services. 

Responsibilities:
  • Installation & Assembly: Installing commercial plumbing assemblies, including pipefitting (welded, screwed, copper), valves, fittings, and fixtures in new and in-process HVAC equipment.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plumbing, gas lines, water pipes, sewer utilities, compressed air lines, compressors, and vacuum pumps.
  • System Testing: Testing completed plumbing systems for proper performance, pressure, and leaks to ensure they meet building codes and client specifications.
  • System Design Review: Reviewing blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Technical Support: Providing emergency response and servicing HVACR equipment, including chillers, steam turbines, and Rooftop Units (RTUs).
  • Supervision & Collaboration: Assisting with the training, directing, and mentoring of junior employees and apprentices. 

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical training preferred).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Industrial Plumber Trade Certification (Red Seal preferred) or registered apprenticeship status (e.g., 3rd-5th Period).
  • Several years (5+ preferred) of commercial HVAC or industrial plumbing service experience.
  • Strong proficiency in brazing/soldering, pipefitting, reading schematics, and operating power tools.
  • Strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act).
  • Ability to work independently in a busy, high-pressure environment.
