We have an outstanding Contract position for a Senior Data Center Network Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Phoenix, AZ surrounding area.

Seeking a Sr. Data Center Network Engineer with strong experience in Cisco Nexus data center technologies, responsible for designing, deploying, and validating scalable network fabrics using NDFC and VXLAN.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and deploy Cisco Nexus (N9K) switches for data center environments
  • Build and manage VXLAN/EVPN fabrics using Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC)
  • Perform base network configuration, including:
    • VLANs, trunking, VPC, LACP
    • Layer 2/Layer 3 services (SVIs, routing, OSPF)
  • Configure and validate:
    • VRFs, tenant policies, and overlay networking
    • Spine-leaf architectures and fabric connectivity
  • Ensure proper integration with upstream/downstream networks
  • Troubleshoot and optimize network performance and connectivity

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 (N9K) platforms
  • Strong knowledge of VXLAN/EVPN architectures
  • Experience with Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC)
  • Solid understanding of data center networking fundamentals
  • Ability to configure and validate end-to-end network fabrics

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with multi-site VXLAN or data center interconnect
  • Familiarity with automation or templating within NDFC
  • Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE Data Center preferred)
