We have an outstanding Contract position for a Software Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Owego, NY surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $39 - $52

**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.**

We are seeking a self-starting C# Application Developer to create Windows-based GUI applications that interface with embedded software running on hardware such as FPGAs. The developer will build, compile, and execute the C# front end on Windows workstations while communicating with low-level embedded code on FPGA platforms. This role involves designing, developing, and integrating the GUI components that provide end users with control and configuration capabilities for embedded systems.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional C# development experience creating GUI applications (WinForms, WPF, .NET Core/5+).
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience designing, storyboarding, and delivering C# GUIs that have been shipped and are in use in the field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience with embedded development (hardware interfacing, resource-constrained environments).
  • Active Secret security clearance at time of hire.
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Owego, NY.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of embedded communication protocols (UART, SPI).
  • Bare metal programming experience on embedded platforms such as FPGAs (no operating system).
  • Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (JTAG).
  • Experience with UI/UX design and storyboarding tools (Visio or Rhapsody).
  • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to work independently while collaborating with hardware, firmware, and product teams.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of security best practices for embedded and GUI software
