We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer to join a leading Company located in the San Jose, CA surrounding area.
Salary: $95,000 - $115,000
Candidates will work directly with our customers and our staff to deploy and sustain test equipment and processes in our manufacturing facility. These products have advanced technologies and high reliability requirements. These markets include aerospace, defense, and other mission-critical industries.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with customers' engineers to deploy and sustain test equipment and test script processes.
- Assist test operators with the setup and operation of test equipment during production tests.
- Interface with customers regularly to discuss product test yields, engineering action items, and continual process improvement.
- Monitor and report on Test process yields and work to identify and resolve test failure issues.
- Perform functional test on complex electronic assemblies, as needed.
- Participate in troubleshooting Functional Test (FCT) failures on production assemblies, as needed.
- Use standard test equipment to diagnose failures (i.e., DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies).
- Responsible for RMA analysis and corrective action implementation, as required.
- Collaborate with customers to support New Product Introduction (NPI) readiness tasks, such as script validation and test plan execution.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Electronics Manufacturing Services Test Engineering experience is required.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and CUI (Customer Unclassified Information) documentation practices.
Desired Qualifications:
- Must be able to interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and schematics in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of computer systems, Linux commands, and network fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills.
