We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join a leading Company located in the Chicago, IL surrounding area.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

As an Events Coordinator, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality events—including seminars, conferences, webinars, and special programs—that support business development and client engagement. Working closely with Practice Development Managers and cross-functional teams, you'll manage event details from concept through post-event reporting, ensuring every experience is seamless, professional, and impactful.

Responsibilities
  • Support the full lifecycle of events, from initial planning through execution and follow-up 
  • Coordinate event logistics, timelines, vendors, and deliverables to ensure flawless execution 
  • Conceptualize and help stage engaging events aligned with strategic goals and target audiences 
  • Research venues, formats, and vendors, and provide recommendations based on event objectives 
  • Create electronic invitations, manage RSVP tracking, and generate attendance reports 
  • Develop and manage event budgets, including cost comparisons and budget summaries 
  • Prepare and distribute event materials, both digitally and in print 
  • Build and upload materials for webinars and virtual events 
  • Coordinate delivery, setup, and breakdown of event materials as needed 
  • Create and maintain event webpages for public-facing programs 
  • Produce post-event materials such as attendance reports, budget recaps, and evaluations 
  • Partner with the marketing technology team to ensure CRM records accurately reflect event and contact data 
  • Collaborate with Communications on social media promotions and event visibility 
  • Work with Professional Development to manage CLE tracking, certificates, and reporting 
  • Apply for annual HRCI certification when required 
  • Independently manage departmental projects beyond events, contributing to broader initiatives 

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in event planning or marketing, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment 
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • A calm, professional approach when working under pressure and tight deadlines 
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively 
  • Confidence in managing and communicating with external vendors and internal stakeholders 
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented attitude 
  • Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or additional hours around events 
  • Willingness to travel for events held in other cities 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Comfort learning and using new technologies, platforms, and event tools
