We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Construction Estimator to join a leading Company located in the Boxborough, MA surrounding area.

This role supports preconstruction activities by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project documents, and coordinating with subcontractors and internal project teams. The position is ideal for someone early in their estimating career who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and managing multiple bids in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop scopes of work and cost estimates
  • Perform quantity takeoffs across multiple CSI divisions
  • Support bid management by coordinating invitations to bid and communicating with subcontractors
  • Distribute project documents, addenda, and RFIs to trade partners during the bidding process
  • Evaluate subcontractor proposals for scope completeness, pricing accuracy, and alignment with project requirements
  • Assist with value engineering efforts by identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions
  • Participate in site visits to assess existing conditions, site access, and logistical considerations
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of estimating experience within commercial construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience using estimating and takeoff tools such as Excel, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with bid management platforms such as BuildingConnected or comparable systems
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and project sequencing
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing drawings and cost data
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with subcontractors and project teams
