We have an outstanding Contract position for a Human Resource Representative to join a leading Company located in the Jacksonville, FL surrounding area.
**US Citizenship is required.**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for various HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive work environment. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
Responsibilities:
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files
Process employee data, including new hires, terminations, and benefits changes
Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as needed
Benefits Administration:
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
Communicate benefits information to employees and provide support with benefits-related inquiries
Communication and Training:
Communicate HR policies, procedures, and updates to employees and management
Employee Relations:
Provide guidance and support to employees on company policies, procedures, and benefits
Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention
Recruitment and Hiring:
Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection
Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and I9s
Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure compliance with company hiring policies and procedures
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in human resources or a related field is required
Desired Qualifications:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Proficient in HR software and systems, including HRIS and benefits administration platforms
Proficient in Microsoft 365 platforms (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc)
Strong analytical skills
Ability to build PowerPoint presentations
Experience working in a shipyard or manufacturing environment with skilled trades preferred
Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
