We have an Excellent career opportunity for an Journeyman HVAC Service Technician to join a leading Company servicing Sparks Glencoe, MD.
Pay Rate $40 to $60 DOE.
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residences and commercial establishments. This position shall incorporate our Vision and Business Strategy by providing 'Proactive World Class Service' to the markets served, based on Profitability, Credibility, Employee Base Environment, Customer Service, and Quality.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring of multiple devices.
- Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
- Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
- Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers, using hand tools.
- Discuss heating-cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.
- Perform service, repair maintenance, and record proper documentation.
- Maintain vehicles in compliance with company policy.
- Submit tickets, invoices, work performed, resolutions, and hours worked daily via the provided mobile device.
- This is a non-exempt position; working more than 40 hours a week qualifies as overtime and must be preapproved by your supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have Journeyman or Master's License.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience servicing HVAC units and their components in commercial or industrial settings.
- CFC License is necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of HVAC equipment, systems, repairs of complex commercial and industrial heating and air conditioning systems, and operations.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations related to the HVAC trade.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturer's recommendations as to operations and maintenance of large equipment and systems.
- Ability to make decisive, independent decisions.
