We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Howell, MI surrounding area.
This role plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in a machining environment. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, manufacturing methods, and quality control standards.
Responsibilities:
Interface with tooling engineers; Communicate customer and internal changes through the ECR system, work with tooling engineering on product design, design for manufacturability, andprovide testing and feedback loop.
Project Manager for new program launches.
Advance Quality Planning per guidelines.
Develop and optimize processes to meet customer requirements.
Establish and maintain FMEA and Control Plans.
Layout equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confers with vendors and customers to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, and parts.
Project Manager for new programs; Develop and maintain timelines, monitor program milestones, track and report tooling & capital spending, coordinate launch meetings, maintain minutes, maintain open issues lists, represent at customer launch meetings, support customer needs and expectations.
Responsible for the Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) processes.
Develop and optimize processes; develop specific processes/parameters to meet customer requirements, document parameters, andimplement procedures.
Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs.
Cost savings:Evaluate product flow and processes for best use of materials and equipment to achieve the best utilization of resources.
Continuous Improvement: Lead and/or participate in Kaizen teams, provide engineering support.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a technical equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a CNC machining manufacturing environment.
Understanding of machining fixtures, cutting tools, and applications.
Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiar with M & G code programming.
Familiar with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Knowledge of Machining methods and tooling.
Lean Manufacturing /Six Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred but not required).
