We have an outstanding career opportunity for a VP of Program Management to join a leading Company located in the San Antonio, TX surrounding area.
Responsibilities:
Execute all programs within contractual requirements to ensure that the project cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met or exceeded
Utilizing Earned Value Management, review and report program financial and schedule status frequently
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to drive repeat business
Manage program budget forecasting, resource planning, and financial performance tracking
Identify opportunities to improve profit margins for individual programs and/or processes throughout the organization
Lead and mentor a team of program managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence
Collaborate with sales, finance, engineering, planning, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver programs on schedule and within budget
Define and execute a long-term strategic vision for program management, including technology roadmaps and market positioning
Drive business development initiatives, including identifying new market opportunities and crafting competitive proposals
Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks (AS9100, FAA, DoD)
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) or Business from an accredited university
Minimum 15 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry
Minimum 7-10 years in senior leadership roles managing multi-year aerospace programs exceeding $10M in annual revenue
Track record of successfully overseeing programs with budgets above $25M
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Cost accounting or financial analysis experience preferred
Direct experience with military aerospace programs preferred
