We have an outstanding Contract position for a Logistics Support Specialist to join a leading Company located in Daleville, AL.
Hourly Pay Rate: $25-$27.
Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:20 PM, with occasional weekend work
Responsible for executing all logistics-related functions, including data extraction and analysis, order fulfillment, inventory management, forecasting, replenishment, shipping, and receiving.
Responsibilities:
- Support customer requirements with an emphasis on outstanding customer satisfaction
- Receive, validate, and fulfill customer parts request orders for the fleet
- Accurately process and deliver orders within contractual timeline requirements
- Produce, consolidate, and report logistic metrics to the site manager, as required
- Extract and analyze programmatic data to meet contractual metrics
- Coordinate logistics efforts with overall program efforts
- Issue, receive, and coordinate the repair of Government Property (GP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and company policies
- Establish and maintain Min/Max stock levels and recommend changes based on historical usage and forecasting
- Ensures the processing of inventory and picking procedures are accomplished accurately
- Create, update, and optimize bin locations for maximum efficiency (picking) and inventory control
- Perform cycle counts, as required
- Maintains appropriate files and records, as per company policy
- Ensures accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments; verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records
- Create and process sales orders, repair sales orders, and transfer orders in SAP, as required
- Properly dispose of scrap parts
- Package parts for storage or shipment; including Dangerous Goods (DG)
- Track, request and receive required core return parts from customer
- Requires infrequent travel (<10%)
- Requires 'on-call' duty
- Requires weekend work
- No supervisory or budget responsibilities
- Follows prescribed processes and procedures
- Develop new procedures, identify problems, and recommend solutions to fulfill program objectives
- Divulging of confidential and/or sensitive information could lead to lawsuits
- Errors may lead to high risk of major damage to the organization
- Authority to conduct work with US government ITAR/EAR controlled information
- Authority to act with site manager approval
- Constant communication with CSRs and Material Management team
- Produce, manage, control, and retain documents, as per appropriate polices
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Associate's Degree or higher preferred
- 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or business management required
- Thorough knowledge of logistics and supply chain functions with an Associate's Degree in logistics, supply chain, or business management, and/or 5 years of logistics, supply chain, and/or business management experience desired
- Extensive knowledge of SAP operations desired; Minimum of 1 year SAP experience desired
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office suite required; to include MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint; Good keyboarding skills required; comprehensive knowledge of MS Excel desired
- Ability and desire to learn new software programs
- Able to work independently, with minimal guidance
- Current DOT HazMat (Hazardous Materials) Transportation Certification; or able to obtain
- Current Forklift certification; or able to obtain
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- FEDEX shipping station and software use
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain access to controlled, government facility
