We have an outstanding Contract position for a CMM Operator/Programmer Inspector to join a leading Company located in the Jupiter, FL surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required.**

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Perform a variety of detailed inspections, routing/material transactions, and records processing of aerospace propulsion parts, assemblies, and associated paperwork to ensure standards of product quality and compliance are met. 
  • Operate within the manufacturing environment in accordance with established company and government quality procedures and inspection requirements. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing activities to ensure product integrity. 
  • The use of sophisticated inspection techniques may be required to plan, direct, and perform a wide range of inspection operations, and develop new routines, methods, procedures, and applications to inspect all types of parts, assemblies, tools and fixtures in various stages of experimental development and manufacture. 
  • Perform appropriate processes to disposition non-conforming parts. 
  • Functions may also include investigation and corrective action and resolution of anomalies.
  • The appropriate measuring equipment including its use, interpretation, and general functionality.
  • Basic mathematical principles and operations to solve problems.
  • Engineering specifications, drawings, blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), production plans, and/or work instructions (WI).
  • Fundamentals of computer literacy, electronic record keeping and reporting.
  • Federal and state environmental and safety regulations as well as company guidelines and procedures.
  • Quality control and assurance principles, to include Stamp Warranty and the responsibilities that are inherent to having Stamp/Signature authority.
  • Fundamental understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Meet the continuous mental and visual demand to inspect parts, interpret drawing, and specifications, follow proper sequences, complete paperwork, and resolve problems.
  • Interpret, explain, and apply applicable codes and regulations.
  • Managed assigned work and meet critical deadlines.
  • Understand and follow instructions. Apply departmental policies and procedures to perform assigned tasks.
  • Read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, sketches, models, or other visual aids.
  • Use hoists and rigging equipment.
  • Follow safety practices.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with work teams and those contacted in the course of work.
  • Be responsible for working safely without posing a risk to themselves or others.
  • Maintain and prepare logs, records, systems, and reports as required. To include photo documentation as required.
  • Appropriately handle parts to perform inspections with the necessary measuring equipment.
  • Ensure files and reports are accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Conduct inspections on complex and difficult assembly and testing of aerospace propulsion components, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement processes, have a working knowledge of lean principles, and identify improvements as they apply to the current working environment.
  • When conducting Computerized Measuring Machine (CMM): Plan, direct and perform a wide range of Computerized Measuring Machine (CMM) operations and develop new coordinate measuring routines, methods, procedures, and applications to inspect all types of parts, assemblies, tools and fixtures in various stages of experimental development and manufacturing.
  • Identify new applications and techniques for Computerized Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection not currently performed or where no specific inspection instructions exist.
  • Assist in the checkout and verification of computer programs and complex Computerized Measuring Machine (CMM) routines.

Basic Hiring Criteria:  
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of 2-3 Year Technical Certification or Trade School or equivalent desired.
  • 3-5 years direct experience.
  • CMM operator/programming experience with Zeiss Calypso.
