We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Industrial Machine Rebuilding Supervisor to join a leading Company located in the Kent, OH surrounding area.
The Industrial Machine Rebuilding Supervisor, under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, will be responsible for providing systems, tools, and support to ensure a safe and successful shop and warehouse operation. The shop supervisor will manage the shop team and lead by example, in a working position, focused on projects completion in a productive, team-oriented shop environment while exhibiting the company's core values.
Job Responsibilities:
Manages and is accountable for the shop schedule, ensuring all project priorities are clearly defined and managed.
Supervises shop team members' expectations and performance and provides coaching as needed to further the department objectives.
Enforce safety regulations and protocols.
Implement strategies/lean improvements to optimize workflow and operational efficiency through continuous improvement.
Ensure all employees complete accurate and daily hours reporting.
Train staff to include orientation of new hires and annual performance reviews.
Responsible for managing all aspects of project work to include support materials, parts, and technical support to enable work to progress efficiently on the floor and impact project profitability.
Maintains accurate departmental tool and equipment inventory.
Ensure all equipment service requests are handled thoroughly and properly.
Enforce safety regulations and protocols. Will also participate in Safety Meetings.
Maintains shipping and receiving records.
Implement strategies/lean improvements to optimize workflow and operational efficiency through continuous improvement.
Ensures all employees complete accurate and daily hours reporting.
Supervising and trainingstaffto include orientation of new hires and annual performance reviews.
Coordinates with office staff to ensure accurate, timely records are maintained for project processing, job costs, shipping and receiving and sales support.
Authorized to prepare purchase orders for repair parts, vendor services and department supplies.
Manages and modifies operating procedures to ensure constant improvement in overall performance.
Performs equipment repair work.
Work with Sales Department to assist in updates on delivery and labor costs.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired from a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of related field supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
General knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulic, steam and water applications pertaining to machinery.
Possess a mechanical aptitude for structural work and rigging practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams and operation and maintenance manuals.
Is well versed in safe warehouse operations with organized and labeled inventory.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
