We have an outstanding Contract position for a Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Wallingford, CT surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
The position will perform transactional A/P & A/R and will also generate reports/metrics and support our audit month-end accounting tasks. This individual will report to the Site Controller.
Support the accounts receivable, accounts payable processing and reporting, including daily entry of cash receipts and accounts payable transactions.
Assist with various tax inquiries and reporting.
Assist in the month-end financial close process including journal entries, account and intercompany reconciliations as well standard corporate reporting requirements.
Maintain key account reconciliations and documentation to meet audit and SOX requirements.
Deliver all required finance/accounting data accurately and on time.
Assist Company/External Auditors with annual/periodic audit activities
Interact with operations and support with labor analysis reporting, adhoc inventory reporting and variance analysis.
Assist with analysis of labor, material, and overhead costs against standard and budgets.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Continued education in Accounting is preferred.
Minimum 1-year experience in accounts payable/receivables.
Eye for detail; accuracy is imperative.
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Must have a customer service orientation.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to interact with all levels of management and outside vendors.
Capable of functioning in a multi-task environment.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with customary PC office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Experience with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system or the equivalent preferred.
