We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Senior Manager, Business Management and Finance to join a leading Company located in the Reston, VA surrounding area.
**US Citizenship is required.**
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Business Management and Finance with a solid financial management background to assist in supporting our CIO Services organizations. This position will be responsible for senior-level activities in support of managing a $300M+ Operating budget. Duties may include executive-level reporting, in-depth financial analysis and metrics, financial process management, team oversight, and guidance. This role will support the Director of Business Management and Operations in managing the day-to-day operations of the finance team. Other duties include making recommendations for cost reduction and process improvements (with an emphasis on automation), participating in / leading meetings with senior leadership, and supporting the quarterly and annual budgeting process.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for compilation and submission of operating plans (annual budget and quarterly forecast) on behalf of CIO Services and Corporate Information Security
Responsible for oversight of Business Managers (Business Managers support financial and operational activities of the individual IT organizations)
Executive Level Reporting, including financial analysis and presentation materials
Monitor expenditures and recommend an appropriate course of action when issues are identified
Work in conjunction with peer managers in support of team objectives
Design, develop and implement methods and strategies to continually improve processes
Responsible for the support of key weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting deliverables that track and communicate the performance of the business unit and key business metrics
Perform ad-hoc analysis and prepare presentation materials as requested
Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field)
Minimum 10 years of related experience
Experience with the development of complex spreadsheets required
CPA Certification with strong hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting and finance operations
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - pivot tables, v-lookups, and executive-level presentations
Ability to handle difficult or unexpected situations as well as complex business challenges
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Prior experience with Apptio, Costpoint
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organization skills
