We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Property Accountant to join a leading Company located in the New York City, NY surrounding area.
Salary Rate Range: $90,000 - $125,000
Responsibilities:
Compilation of monthly financials for a portfolio of properties
Review of entity general ledgers for potential reclasses and accruals
Completion of bank reconciliations and tracking of cash
Reconciling various balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy
Preparation of lender draw requests
Forecasting of cash flow
Communication with Property Management staff, lenders, and equity partners
Communication with management as needed in the preparation of ad hoc financials
Preparation of monthly reporting
Assist in the review of monthly financials
Assist with quarter and year-end tax and audit preparation work
Assist in implementing new policies and procedures
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Demonstrates behaviors that are aligned with the organization's desired culture and value
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
CAM (Common area maintenance) Reconciliations, CAM Calculations REQUIRED
Must have either retail or office property accounting experience
Desired Qualifications:
CPA, MBA, MAC a plus
Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical, and sound judgment skills
