The Production System Training (PST) organization is currently seeking Experienced Employee Development Specialists to join their group in Auburn, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in Fabrication, Composites and/or Quality Systems who has a passion for training the next generation of skilled workers. This position supports our internal New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction.
Position Responsibilities:
• Ability to apply knowledge of instructional skills (e.g. preparation, delivery, summary, assess student progress, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.)
• Using a variety of media, clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the content.
• Identifies business specific learning objectives and adapts curriculum content and delivery methods
• Identifies potential issues that impact performance and recommends development of improvement recommendations
• Able to assess requirements and schedule courses and instructors
• Analyze, validate, optimize and coordinate training requests for new hire, recall, and transfer employees
• Be able to support off-shift as necessary
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Required Skills/Experience:
• Experience presenting to a group
• Experience with training curriculums that include hands-on activities
• 3 + years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• 1+ year of experience in data analytics
• 1+ year of experience using reporting tools
• Willing to coach learners/students at all levels
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Fabrication process knowledge
• Familiar with foundational skills and systems like PSDS, CMES, REDARS, Drawings, Precision Measuring Tools
• Experience with designing/developing course content and instructional materials
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using My Learning or other Learning Management Systems
• Ability to organize, prioritize and pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy
Typical Education/Experience:
• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
