Job Description:
The Cabin Design Engineer ensures STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) solutions for Cabin upgrades projects, the job holder is responsible and accountable for the cabin architecture relevant tasks and the validation of all deliverables necessary to support the Cabin modification including the management of Cabin equipment Development.
Your challenges:
Coordinate all engineering activities linked to a Cabin Modification, by planning, supervising and monitoring these activities in terms of deliverables, schedule, cost and risk.
Responsible/accountable for the definition of technical and qualification and substantiation requirements relative to cabin equipment development.
Coordination of all design & justification activities related to Cabin modification.
Ensure cabin technical content complies with all applicable requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve and/or simplify processes, procedures and/or tools.
Cabin Definition Drawing production
Cabin Installation Drawing production
Support to W&B
Realization of technical Notes supporting the substantiation and/or certification
Support to SB and Tech Pub redaction and/or validation
GTP/FTP
Your boarding pass:
B.S. degree in engineering.(Mechanical /Aeronautic/Civil /Electrical Engineering)
6 years experience within the aviation industry, specifically in aircraft cabin engineering and development process, and knowledge of associated design, certification and qualification requirements.
In depth understanding of the cabin / cabin systems retrofit process.
Experience in aircraft modifications and upgrades.
Experience in cabin equipment / cabin integration.
Advance knowledge of configuration management.
CATIA V5 experience.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics.
Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills.
Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams.
Authorized to work in the US.
Preferred experience in:
Airbus aircraft general knowledge.
Knowledge of EASA Part 21 (DOA / POA), Part 145 and CS25 regulations requirements.
Knowledge of Airbus tools: Airn@V, Tasky, PASS SSI, ICC, Zamiz.
Delegated signatory for ATA25 within Airbus DOA.
