Job Description:
Position Responsibilities:
Acts as the technical CSA discipline support for clients Facilities Engineering for infrastructure projects in design, construction and commissioning phases.
Review CSA submittals.
Monitor day to day contractor field activities and performance against baseline plans and specifications (design, construction, etc.), identify deviations from construction best practices and project requirements and report to the clients Facilities Engineering.
Research and provide technical packages outlining deviations from requirements, articulate pros and cons and recommend path forward to the clients Facilities Engineering.
Research and provide technical packages to assist Facilities Engineering resolve Requests for Information (RFI's).
Analyze impacts of proposed changes or alternate studies.
Support sustaining and maintenance projects by providing the client's standards and/or recommended best practices and materials.
Provide timely updates/status.
Escort contractors on the client's property as necessary.
Other responsibilities as determined.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC. Occasional travel to Orangeburg, SC may also be required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience reading & understanding infrastructure engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications. (auto-cad, Microsoft office)
4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experiences.
2 or more years' work experience on construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working in an engineering, facilities and/or maintenance role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities.
Experience with pavement repairs and equipment anchoring.
Experience with grading, drainage, and stormwater systems.
Experience with flightline pavements.
Experience writing or reviewing construction submittals.
Shift: This position is for 1st shift.
Education / Experience:
AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
